Virtual Reality Equipment

Ease of use

VRTS hardware and software has been designed to be as easy as possible for a non-technical person to use.

Dimensions of the Virtual Reality workspace

By default, VRTS workouts are designed to be done in a six by six meter virtual reality zone. However, these dimensions are not imposed. The VRTS device allows one or more agents to work in an area ranging from four by four meters to thirty by thirty meters. That is up to 900 m2 of space in which you can train.

Work areas larger than 10m x 10m must be the subject of a specific estimate. Send us the dimensions of the room you plan to install VRTS in and the number of agents you want to train simultaneously.

Your virtual reality workspace doesn’t have to be a square area. A rectangular area is also usable. For example, if your room is 5m x 10m (or whatever else), then you can still use VRTS.

The minimum required ceiling height is 2.20m.

These different working dimensions are available either in fixed installation or in mobile installation.

Description

VRTS in fixed installation means that the VRTS device will be installed in the walls of the destination room. All the equipment will be embedded in your hard room. Moving the installation will then be possible, but long and complicated.

The advantage of the fixed installation is that the virtual reality workspace is robust and cannot be inadvertently decibrated. The downside is that you have less flexibility in where to do your VRTS workouts.

If you want to dedicate a specific location to VRTS and don’t intend to move it, then fixed installation is your best option.

Note that even if VRTS is installed in your room, this does not prevent you from using this room for other purposes. Indeed, you can continue to use the room as a meeting room or classroom. Indeed, when you are not practicing VRTS, nothing prevents you from putting chairs, tables, tatami mats and other equipment in the virtual reality zone. You will only need to clear the VR space before you begin your VR police training in VRTS.

The VRTS training tool operates on 220V electricity. There are no special provisions regarding the electricity present in the room.

VRTS en kit mobile

Description
VRTS en kit mobile signifie que le dispositif VRTS sera fourni sous la forme d’un kit mobile. Ce kit mobile est constitué d’une ou plusieurs caisses de transport renforcées. Ces caisses contiennent tout le matériel VRTS.

With VRTS mobile kit, you are able to move VRTS easily in the trunk of a large car.

When you arrive in a new room, the deployment of a mobile kit takes between 30 and 45 minutes. This with a person responsible for the installation. That is, when you arrive at a new location, you can be ready to train in under an hour!

VRTS on your own virtual reality hardware

VRTS does not require you to use its proprietary hardware. If you are already equipped with Virtual Reality equipment, you can use your own. Contact us with a description of the hardware you already have and we’ll advise you on how to adapt our software to your hardware.

Comfort and Safety in Virtual Reality

To ensure user comfort, the VR headsets used by VRTS are high resolution headsets with high refresh rate and stable throughout training sessions.

VRTS virtual reality headsets are equipped with:

01

High screen resolution of over 2.864 x 1.440 pixels

02

Large 110 degree field of vision to the sides and up and down

03

Very high image refresh rate of over 80 Hz for optimal image smoothness and responsiveness

04

Adjustable helmet to accommodate all head shapes

05

Helmet compatible with prescription glasses (as long as the frame is not too bulky)

Connected weapon

Each agent can carry one or more connected weapons. By connected weapon, we mean a weapon that is precisely reproduced in virtual reality. With this connected weapon, you can:

Operate the safety switch
Make charger changes
Fire virtual ammunition with the trigger tail.

Some connected weapons are equipped with tactical accessories:

01

Tactical flashlight. The various ignition buttons are linked to the virtual simulation.

02

Handles, retractable sticks and other grip accessories.

03

Holographic sights of different types. With faithful reproduction in virtual reality of the behavior of the holographic sight.

Catalog of available equipment

VRTS has a large catalog of equipment available. With over fifty models of handguns, collective weapons, less-lethal weapons and accessories. The equipment used by your police area is likely already available from VRTS.

If your police force uses equipment that would not be part of our catalog, VRTS can convert your own equipment so that it can be used in virtual reality simulations. The equipment you entrust to us will be demilitarized for security reasons and will be converted into a virtual version.
